The same lift pass, different weeks. Each village is scored on its own for the holiday around the skiing.

Lech

Luxury traditional village · Direct lift / short walk
Families 8Luxury and service 9Range of places to stay 6Village character 9Dining 8Après and nightlife 6For non-skiers 8
  • The prettiest village on the Arlberg, car-light and walkable.
  • The Arlberg's own weather pocket at 1,450 m.
  • More five-stars per resident than anywhere in Austria.
Stay Hotel Post Lech (5★, Relais & Châteaux, the village institution); Aurelio (5★, ski-in/out, the most expensive room in Austria); Hotel Gotthard (4★, family-run, half board done properly)
Eat Griggeler Stuba at the Burg Vital, Oberlech (two Michelin stars); Rote Wand Chef's Table in Zug (two stars — a fourteen-seat counter); La Fenice at the Hotel Arlberg (star, new 2026); Rud-Alpe on the mountain (lunch)
Marc’s tip
Lech is quiet by ten; if you want an evening, St. Anton is a bus ride and a different world. Ski the Weisser Ring anticlockwise on a blue-sky day.

Zürs

Luxury ski-in/out hamlet · True ski-in/out / direct lift
Families 6Luxury and service 8Range of places to stay 9Village character 8Dining 8Après and nightlife 4For non-skiers 7
  • The highest, snowiest base on the Arlberg.
  • Every hotel is ski-in/out.
  • A hotel hamlet on a pass; the honest trade-off.
Stay Hotel Ueli (4★S, ski-in/out, family-run — Marc's favourite on the Arlberg); Hotel Zürserhof (5★, spa, the family grand hotel); Thurnher's Alpenhof (5★S, ski-in/out); Robinson Alpenrose Zürs (all-inclusive, at the Trittkopf lift)
Eat Griggeler Stuba and the Rote Wand Chef's Table in Lech (two stars each, ten minutes); the Ueli's dining room; the Ullr Gasthouse (the après that stays for dinner)
Marc’s tip
Lech's higher, quieter, snowier sister — a handful of hotels at 1,720 m on the pass, the Trittkopf and Madloch lifts at the door, the Weisser Ring circuit to Lech and back, and the best hotel skiing in Austria. Nothing to do but ski and eat well; that is the point.

St. Anton

Traditional/lively town · Multiple local lift gateways / short walk
This village’s holiday scores are under review, so they are not shown here; it is still in the matcher.
  • The steepest groomed terrain on the Arlberg and the Valluga above it.
  • The reference for Austrian après.
  • 300 km on one pass.
Stay Hotel Tannenhof (5★, small, the best in town); Schwarzer Adler (4★, centre, 400 years old); Hotel Alte Post (4★, by the lifts, good value)
Eat Gourmetrestaurant Tannenhof (two Michelin stars); Alpin Gourmet Stube (star); Ullrs Gourmetstube (star, new 2026); Verwallstube on the Galzig (lunch)
Marc’s tip
Après starts at the Mooserwirt at three and the walk down is part of it — book in the village, not up at St. Christoph, unless you want quiet.

St. Christoph

Small luxury hamlet · True ski-in/out / direct lift
Families 6Luxury and service 9Range of places to stay 8Village character 7Dining 8Après and nightlife 4For non-skiers 6
  • The pass.
  • The Hospiz and the Maiensee.
  • The honest weakness.
Stay Arlberg Hospiz (5★S, the 1386 hospice, the address); Arlberg Hospiz Chalet-Suites (for a family or group); Hotel Maiensee (4★S, spa, ski-in/out); Arlberg1800 Resort residences
Eat The Hospiz's dining room and its wine cellar (the Bordeaux collection); the Hospiz Alm; the Maiensee's restaurant
Marc’s tip
A hamlet at 1,800 m on the Arlberg pass — the Hospiz, the Maiensee, the cellar, the concert hall underground, and the Arlberg's best snow at the door. A place to stay for the hotels and the skiing; St. Anton's noise is ten minutes down.

Stuben

Small authentic village · True ski-in/out / direct lift
Families 7Luxury and service 7Range of places to stay 7Village character 7Dining 7Après and nightlife 4For non-skiers 6
  • The snowiest corner of the Arlberg.
  • The Albona.
  • The honest weakness.
Stay Hotel Post Stuben (4★, the reference, ski-in/out); Hotel Mondschein (4★, the old one); the Stuben chalets
Eat The Post's dining room; the Mondschein's; the Albona restaurant on the mountain
Marc’s tip
The Arlberg's smallest, snowiest village — Hannes Schneider's birthplace, the north-facing Albona for the powder, the Flexen link to Zürs and Lech, and nothing to do at night. For the skier who wants deep snow and an early bed.
Warth (illustrative render)

Warth

Family/snowy village · True ski-in/out / direct lift
Families 8Luxury and service 7Range of places to stay 8Village character 8Dining 8Après and nightlife 4For non-skiers 7
  • Austria's snowfall record.
  • The Arlberg at Warth prices.
  • A working village; the honest trade-off.
Stay Hotel Warther Hof (4★S, spa, the reference); Hotel Lechtaler Hof (4★, family-run); the Warth chalets
Eat The Warther Hof's dining room; the Lechtaler Hof's; the Steffisalp on the mountain
Marc’s tip
The Arlberg's back door from the Bregenzerwald — the snowiest village in Austria by the statistics, the Auenfeldjet link to Lech, and half Lech's prices. A working Vorarlberg village; the skiing is the reason.
