About SkiDomain

SkiDomain is built and operated by Expeditioner Travel, a luxury travel advisory. It exists because the most common question our clients ask is also the hardest to answer from brochures: of all the places we could ski, which one is actually right for us?

The engine

Behind the conversation sits a governed destination database: 69 of the world’s leading ski areas and 178 villages, each scored 1–9 on eighteen researched criteria — snow reliability, terrain by ability, village character, dining, family logistics, transfers, pass coverage — with every score reviewed by a human before it can influence a recommendation. The full method is on How SkiDomain works.

Marc

Marc is Expeditioner Travel’s founder and the adviser behind every reviewed match. He has skied and travelled these regions for decades — the Alps village by village, Japan, and the North American resorts — and personally reviews higher-complexity SkiDomain matches: mixed-ability groups, two-centre itineraries, milestone trips. When SkiDomain hands you to a person, it hands you to him at travel@expeditionertravel.com.

How we make money

SkiDomain is free to use and shows no advertising. If you choose to plan the trip with Expeditioner Travel, we earn standard travel-advisory commissions from hotels and operators — the recommendation itself is never influenced by commercial arrangements, and no destination can pay to rank.
